Hi fellow Mers,

About 9 months ago I purchased a neoprene silicone tail from Purple Mermaid Studios. After about 4 swims I noticed my tail started to yellow. And crease. I reached out to Mermaid Nerissa two months ago, was asked to send pictures. I did and got no answer. Today I reached out again and was told it happens she is sorry. That's it.

So that is that back story. If i can't find a way to get the silicone caulk off of the neoprene my husband will have tossed away $400 on my Yule gift. Any help or tips or advice would be much welcome.

I'm desperate to save as much as I can of my dream tail.

I think you should be able to just pull it off. I accidentally tore a bit off of mine putting it on the 1st time. The painted neoprene underneath it is still perfectly in tact. Do you have photos so I can see what happened?

I've done it before but only on a tail that had ripped and i had something to grab onto. Its incredibly hard to remove it because depending on the fabric weave out has oozed into the fabric just a bit and won't come off without a (very long) fight
