Good morning fellow merfriends!
My name is Corliss and I was so happy to come across this forum and network website. I have always had a deep love of the ocean and anything to do with sharks, hence why my Mer-name is Rekin Delja. I have lived in Rhode Island for 13 years with my wonderful and supportive husband. We currently share our home with three cats ( AT-AT , Singularity, And Macha ) and our six-month-old Bernese Mountain Dog Cu'Chulainn.
Living in the ocean state is perfect for a mermaid like me. We have so many beautiful beaches here and stunning coast lines. My favorite beach is BeaverTail park, however, with its coves and inlets its perfect for swimming and enjoying the ocean. At a young age I had my scuba diving license, and my parents could not get me out of the water. Like most girls I had dreams of becoming a marine biologist and helping save our beautiful oceans and its creatures. Sadly that goal never came true, and instead, I work in Settlement and Accounting for a major pharmacy chain.
I just recently got my first mermaid tail, the Fin-Fun ' Dory' tail. I was so excited to try it out! My only wish is that I had a pool to make it a bit easier, as ocean swimming can be a bit rough here in New England. The reason why I picked the Dory tail, was that I also am affiliated with the Rhode Island Comic Con as one of their professional cosplayers. I do events for them and charity work as well. I thought I could make a 'land' version of Dory for kids events, and have a new Cosplay to boot! Plus I love Dory and think that she is such a great character. Currently, I am assembling the rest of the costume and it should be ready by September! I am looking forward to sharing pictures of it once it is completed.
Along with cosplay, I also am an avid LARPer ( Its how I met my husband!) and currently play two games here in New England. I also play World of Warcraft and guess you can just call me a giant nerd!
I look forward to hopefully making some local if not New England mer-friends to hang out with and swim! Thank you so much for having me!!
