Hello, my name is Dawn, but I go by Johari. I am a professional Belly Dancer and a mother of 3 out on Long Island! My daughters wanted to learn how to swim like Mermaids, and frankly so did I. I have dreamed of being a Mermaid since I was a little girl and saw Splash with Daryl Hannah. I made my first fabric tail just last week and was told that I couldn't wear it at the public pool. In response, my husband and I built an above ground pool in our backyard this ladt weekend. Any tips for my first swim in my tail? It's made of lycra and spandex, and my feet are on the small side, so I was able to use the mermaid linden monofin for kids and teens. Our local walmart sells them! I was able to wear tgat at the local pool and I felt like a kid again as I swam around in it with my daughters. I am taking every safety precaution with my kids as they are still learning how to swim! Looking forward to talking and learning from you all!:)
