Future tail idea

I'm going to using Marine sealant silicone both white and clear

The question is about the clear silicone
I'm going to be painting before I put on the color.
Will this make the tail look realistic and what technique should I use.

Tin cure silicone breaks down easily in water, and it doesn't last long. And I don't think its safe to use on skin. Have you checked out the tail making thread yet? There are forum posts about making tails with tin cure, and regular silicone as well.

Yes I have seen it, I should rephrase saying I'm using Marine sealent caulking and its very water safe.
