View Full Version : Has anyone thought of mermaid birthday parties for teens/adults?

I've seen threads about parties for kids, but what about teens and adults who want to have one? Is that called something else? Am I the only teenager who wants a mermaid party that isn't too kiddish? Did I just not find the right thread? I'm just throwing this idea out there, if it's not out there already. I imagine it'd be something like performing for a child's birthday party combined with performing at a professional event. I personally am trying to think of how I can plan a mermaid themed party, and while I like Ariel and The Little Mermaid, I was hoping I could do something a little more grown up. I would even try to hire a mermaid (because that'd be soooo cool!!), but I don't know of any mermaids in my area. The only reason I mentioned that was so it'd be clear I'm not just trying to figure out how to decorate for a more mature mermaid party, although I do think that might be the hardest part.

good topic!
ive done parties for both teens and adults! They just aren't very common, but they are tons of fun.the main difference for teens, it was more about having their own tail at the party and swimming. almost like mermaid school where you teach them how to swim and do tricks. So for yours, maybe find someone to hire who also sells fabric tails and you guys can swim together.
I've got a bunch of ideas. like underwater treasure hunts and crafts and singing and creating your own mermaid character..:swoon:

Those ideas sound totally awesome!! My problem for hiring a mermaid is that there aren't really any in my country. :( I am getting a mermaid tail for my birthday, so I could take turns with my friends swimming around in the monofin (idk if the tail part will fit them, my parents didn't get the tail for them after all) Your ideas are really great though!! Do you mind if I use some of them?

Wow that's so cool! I was concerned only kids had mermaid parties. I'm relieved to know older people like them too. What are the senior parties like?

absolutely! you could just ask your friends to make their own tails if you're worried about that. I hope your party goes swimmingly! <3

Wow! That's so cool!! The 72 year old lady looks more like 42. I guess that goes to show you can never be too old for mermaids. Thanks for telling me, I love hearing about everyone's different experiences!
