Hi guys! Thank you if u r reading this first of all!!!! I am very new at this and think it's really interesting. I just had a couple of questions. First off I already have a pair of swim dive fins which I am currently using, is that at all similar to a monofin because I am using dolphin kick. Next I am a straight male but still interested in this, is that possible? BTW I am in no way judging anyone by saying that I love everyone for who they are. Next I might want to try this proffessionaly when I get into college, but how is that going to work if I am a guy? And what tail should I go for if I try this? Alright that's all thanks so much and I love u all!

Would recommend you a fabric tail with a stronger monofin.

Welcome to the mernetwork. I can assure you that you are not the only straight male doing this. Celeste is dating a merman and I'm straight myself. Once i started posting lots of photos of me doing this, it actually helped me with getting popular in my area. I meet so many mers because of this. It's very possible to do this professionally. Yeah it harder for us guys to find gigs but look at the number. Over 5,000 mermaids here that could play Ariel however there so few of us guy that could play as Eric with a tail. We are a novelty so most definitely embrace that novelty. Once you put on a tail, you are not going to being concern on how this will work for a guy in college. You are going to love it so much and the good attention that you are not going to care what haters think. You'll see.

I find it coincidental that you had said that. I have a younger cousin named Daniel and he wanted to get into mermaiding, but he thought only gay guys were mermen, but I tried to explain to him it wasn't the case.
