Lol I don't think a thread like this exists so I thought it would be a cool one to start. A thread for recipe sharing !!! Things you love to make things you love to eat and things you are trying for the first time, things for diet restricted mers anything you can think of !!! I know there are all sorts of diets here for different people because everyone is different. Up till now you could say my diet has been the most unhealthy junk food diet and no I amie to change that and am starting to try to learn how to cook for myself. (Even share the alchohlic beverages you enjoy drinking and making for throws who are of legal age)

Everything is welcome vegatarian, vegan, gluten free, anything !!! Things with lots of left overs or things quick for just two, or just quick and easy or set and forget, anything healthy, fun things to make with and for kids !!!

i will be posting the things I try when I can cook. Food is always a good way to make connections and new friends I have found. For the love of food and health

Oh! I love cooking! So last week I tried the Shrimp Boil foil packet recipe that has been circulating on FB. But I skipped the packets. I boiled the potatoes, corn, and sausage, and made the shrimp like scampi, then combined everything with the old bay, and let me tell you... I could live forever, on that alone. LOL. It's definitely not diet food though.

Oh this will be fun! I'll have to go through my recipes when I get home. Lately my stuff is leaning towards well lean foods as it's summer and I'm trying to watch my weight a bit, comfort foods come later in fall. Big fan of quinoa, brown rice, and oats though especially for mixing healthy junk food like snacks. A bit of low sugar peanut butter, carob and protein powder goes a long way for a nice candy bar protein snack base. (carob because my wee menace of a dog will sneak and try and steal some from the table as they are like her treats)

Ok sorry I haven't been on in the last few weeks dealing with sickness sucks !!!!

Heres something i just just made that's fairly easy!

My my boyfriend enjoys grilling steaks and a great thing to go with them usually is fresh steamed veggies with a little salt pepper or garlic powder if you not a fan of the way the veggies are by them selves

but I wanted a change so I decided something new! A garlic onion and mushroom topping.

I got got a small box of the white mushrooms from heb ( will edit the name in later )

got out a head of garlic and some white onions. I use a chopper for my veggies to make the cutting go faster and more evenly!

I washed the mushrooms and cut them into fourths I minced the 4 cloves of the garlic and 2 whole white onions.

i got a medium sized pot coated it in olive oil. Cooked the garlic then added the onions when the onions were clear I added more oil ( also ad oil if it looks like things are burning or sticking ) then I added in all the mushrooms with some red wine I prefer sweet for flavor. You can also ad beef broth or just beef broth by its self.

I also ad a smidge of pepper and some season all and let it cook down until the mushrooms have shrunken down a decent amount and you have a lovely veggie topping to go on top of your steak or even eat by its self

white mushrooms
red wine and or beef broth
olive oil
garlic
pepper
season all
white onions

Egg drop soup

6 eggs
6 cups of chicken broth
1 1/2 teaspoons soy sauce
1 1/2 tea spoons sesame oil
6 teaspoons corn starch
12 teaspoons water
green onion tops

Combine chicken broth, soy sauce, and sesame oil and bring to boil.
Combine cornstarch and water then add them to the boil.
Mix egg yolks into the egg whites then stir them gently into the boil.
depending on how much you like cut a couple of the green onion stems into small slice and add them to the boil.

Then serve hot

side side not you can ad salt into the recipe but I took it out for my family's health and can't rember the measurements.

Boiling water is also a necessary step in cooking. Especially in the beginning. So, I would recommend you to read an article about Water boiling Time https://wiki.projecttopics.org/5-how-long-does-it-take-to-boil-water.html and to be careful. A proper boiling can save your life.

I absolutely love the idea of a recipe-sharing thread! It's such a fantastic way to explore different cuisines and dietary preferences. Recently, I've been on a journey to transition from a not-so-healthy diet to cooking for myself. The variety of options here is incredible—vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, you name it! I'm all about experimenting with diverse dishes. One of my recent favorites is cod liver pate from https://recipebyingredients.com/cod-liver-pate site. It's a delightful appetizer that's not as heavy as a cod liver salad, making it a healthier choice.
