I have a Mahina merfin and I absolutely love it. The only problem is that i get blisters on my heels and small cuts on the tops of my feet from swimming in it. Any tips on ways to help prevent this from happening?

Are you swimming in your fin with bare feet?

Yeah, I went swimming wit bare feet. I've heard about using socks but i can't wiggle my feet into the pockets because the sock sort of "sticks" to the rubber

Well I know it's weird you can use thick sports socks and it can protect your feet but neoprene is highly recommended

Could I put vasoline on the socks so my feet go in easier? Or would it be too slippery when I start swimming

I never tried that, but it's great to experiment!
Make sure you don't put too much on that it will slip out.

I'm going swimming today so I will try it out. Fins crossed that I can save my blistered feet.

theres another thread on this topic, they suggested using hockey tape, especially to cover any existing blisters and susceptible areas

Get the thin neoprene and turn them inside out so the rubber isn't sticking to the fin. That's what i do. Still a snug fit but no blisters! I can swim for hours and be perfect!
