Looking for casual mermaid apparel?

I'm not sure how to better explain this...!

My "mersona" is going to be a very down-to-earth average teenager, an exact replica of myself!
I'm kinda looking for shirts, small skirts [short skirts so it won't mess with my doral], scarves, hats, or anything else I could wear for mermaid photoshoots, in and out of the water! Just not shoes ;)
I do not want anything like shell bras or short shirts, as I like to have full coverage!

My tail is still in the making, but it will be a realistic orca tail. I do mean realistic, too! The only thing not on it will be the pectoral fins, probably. But it will have a very taaaaaall dorsal and a wide, sturdy fluke!

Does anyone have some suggestions?
Bonus points for anything that promotes orcas, dolphins, anti-captivity, ocean quotes, and puns!

I was just at a Mermaid and Merman themed art gallery and there were some REALLY fun outfits there!

I don't have any photos of the actual outfit, but one girl used extra large sequins that looked almost like mermaid scales! She wore a skirt made out of them and it was fashionable and looked super mermaid!
A friend of mine, who's basically an IRL mermaid made herself a shirt using the same sequins, so maybe take this as inspiration! Some of my favorite mermaid themed outfits I've seen used materials that FELT mermaid or incorporated mermaid-themed elements without necessarily just being a shell bra.

When I woke up I was casually perusing my Facebook feed and a girl had posted a video through Buzzfeed of some awesome "mermaid" jeans she bought for 110.00. She was totally out of her comfort zone as she never wore anything glitzy or shiny, so she took to the streets in NY and asked random people what they thought of her jeans and if they would ever wear them. She received great feedback and they looked super on her. They were dark, body -hugging jeans with iridescent green sequins on the entire front of them and the same on the back pockets. Quite striking actually.
