So a buncha celebs are getting in on it at it's bringing mermaids up ( my mum was super excited, she loves the idea that I'm having so much fun with this hobby/activity/community)
Tho looking at daily mail.... mermaids come up REALLY flippin often XD

its funny those photos are actually years old. The DM did one article on mermaids and were floored by the reception, so now they try to churn out lots but from personal experience they make a LOT of shit up lol

XD yeah most likely, still... Mermaids R popular again XD well they taking over unicorns atm, SO MUCH mermaid makeup sets, mermaid bags, mermaid print leggings..... is a good year for mermaid stuff XD

My Gran told me the other day she’d seen some mers on This Morning, so I had a look and thought they were great. Turns out at least one or two of them had done a course at the same freediving company I did! And one talked about how important the safety stuff is. Seems mermaids are finally popping up more in the eyes of the UK.

I suspect that there will be another surge in popularity when that Little Mermaid live-action film is out.

I'm starting to wonder when Netflix is going to finally air it. Almost every website states to be aired in summer 2017 but we all know it's autumn now. The only other new update on release is the fact Netflix has the exclusive right to air it.
