The fact that people see mermaids as "The whore of the sea" is the real problem here. Mermaids are strong, powerful, beautiful creatures. Lets show kids that mermaids are positive role models and not go around calling them whores for wearing a tail.

I don't know that saying mermaids are good is exactly true, but neither is saying they are bad. They are like humans; not good, not bad.

Certainly not whores however.
