Hi there! My name is Brittany but I go by Astrid the Mermaid. I am brand spankin new to this community but I am so stoked to be part of it all! <3 I originally was from Los Angeles CA but have been living in Eureka CA for the past 5 years now. I just got my very first tail (neoprene with a Mahina merfin) and I am so excited to start this journey! I have been swimming my whole life from swimming lessons as a baby to my friends pools to the beach and then swim team and water polo as I got older to where I am currently. The water feels like my home. And I love mermaids dearly as well. And I just recently realized that becoming a mermaid can actually be a reality and I can combine my two loves to have the best of both worlds! If there is anyone in Humboldt County with the same love as me for being a mermaid or merman please respond I would love to meet you! Thank you so much! Welcome to the community to you as well! :) Humboldt County is in Northern California. Just a few hours south of Oregon. And thank you so much!!!! <3 I got really excited when I got my tail and swam with the tail and everything but I was in a more shallow pool so it was no problem. Don’t worry I didn’t scrape the tail anywhere though. But yeah I am going to practice there a little more before heading out to deeper waters. But yes thanks for the advice and hope you find a pod in Virginia!!!
