Hi I'm Kayana the mermaid and I'm new here! I always want to be a mermaid but I never thought there would be more people who shared the same interest with me. I plan on getting my first tail (fabric of course) and it will be a Artic blue tail by fin fun. Do you guys have any advice for me? Thank you!

Welcome! I agree with Slim. Also don't be afraid to just try out the monofin first.

I thought I was alone here Im so happy to know that Im not! Also, Im in the Colonial beach area its a small town on the potomac river. And i will use the monofin before I put on the tail, and I have been swimming since I could remember, but better safe than sorry. What area are you in?

I am pretty far away from you. (aprox. 7hrs) I live inland in the arrowhead shaped part of Virginia. It's about an hour north of Tennesee, but have no fear there are still plenty of Mer's on the Virginia coast. I know of some around Virginia Beach.

Oh my goodness, I'm so happy to hear about another Virginia mermaid! I'm also from Virgina and live around the Richmond area. I was just at Colonial Beach for the Water Festival back in August! We'll have to swim together sometime!

Yes! Definitely! I'm currently in Savannah, GA for most of Fall but I'll be back in Richmond for Thanksgiving week and 2 weeks around Christmas.

Hi im not in that area yet but im moving to norfolk in april and could use some friends as iv lived in florida all my life and only seen snow once when i was 18

Definitely! There is an indoor heated pool in dalgren on the base but they dont allow tails or monofins sadly.

I know of a good indoor pool located Fairfax, VA we could possibly go to! I have no idea if they allow tails but I know the pool is nice!
