Hey mers on this wesite, I just did a full water change on my sister's betta's 2 gal tank, and he is now acting strange. He is hanging out on the bottom of the tank swimming around in circles. He is laying on his side and breathing heavy. He was fine before the water change. My sister is at college but will be back next weekend. Any help would be appreicated.

Any way you could get a picture of it?

Edit:

Also when you did the water change was it with tap water? If so, did you use a QuickStart liquid of some kind to neutralize the impurities of the water?

Yes I did, but it's the stuff I use every time. It turns out the problem was that I changed the water with softened water. I did another water change with hard water and he's doing better now. The only problem I gotta deal with now is some constipation, but that should be rather easy to deal with.

I’m glad to hear that!

Take the shell off a pea for constipation! Sounds weird but works pretty well

Thanks! I will do that. I'll post an update in a few days.

Peas are great for fish for whatever reason. Peas are the ''cure'' for a lot of their ailments.

Wait, what?
When I was last in Hawaii, we heard it was a "thing" to buy peas and feed them to the reef fish. We went to the market to buy food and peas, and saw a sign:
"Please do not feed peas to our fish. They cannot digest them and it kills them".

But, its OK? Or is it that you need to feed them just the shell? Or just the pea without the shell?

I'm having all sorts of issues posting. Made a duplicate post due to horrid lag. Is something going on with the board?

I believe you have to take off the shell and skin.
We used this on one of our fish and it worked.

You have to take the shell off. The inner pea is a natural laxative. Works for constipation or swim bladder issues.

Update: fish is fine and happily swimming in his tank. Fed him a deshelled pea, and he ate a tiny bit but I think it helped.
