Hey there mers!
Does anyone know if latex tails can be resized? What about repainted?

I have this tail for sale: https://mernetwork.com/index/showthread.php?15954-Latex-Tail-for-Sale-GLOWS-IN-THE-DARK

And someone interested in it, but is wondering if it can be altered to her size.

Thank you!

As far as i know repainting latex will cause the new paint layer to flake off. This also looks like a mercreations ( i think that's the name?) Tail and they have a habit of peeling.

It's not a Mercreations tail.
Thank you though for the info!

Theoretically it could be taken in, it would just be a lot of work. If it isn't backed (pure latex) you'd have to open up the seams, cut it down to the smaller size, and re-seam it, either with more latex or a strong adhesive. If it is fabric-backed, you'd still need to open the seams and then find a way of sewing it back up again and then re-latex the seams.

Repainting a finished latex tail can be a bit of a crapshoot. My latex tail stopped taking new paint a few months after it was finished. I was using pigment mixed with latex, and it would peel off in large chunks. Maybe using a heat-set paint would do it? It'd be something to test on a small patch
