Aheee! I have just moved to Tassie myself. Part of me was VERY NERVOUS about the cold climate and how that would impact my love of swimming but so far, so good! Where are you located?

Oh that is so exciting! I'm located in Kingborough or Hobart, but go up to Launceston more times a year than i can count. If you have Facebook I can add you too a group chat I have affectionately nicknamed 'Tasmernia'. Super excited to see another Mer in Tassie!

I am in Launceston, literally as of a week ago. I've only had a couple of swims to far, in the Cataract Gorge basin. I love this state so much! Beauty everywhere.
Bummer though, I don't use Facebook. How many Tassie mermaids are there?

Oh that's awesome! I've swum there a few times, not with a tail though. There are 4 proper mermaids, (Mermaid September, Mermaid Mari, Mermaid Neppie and Ashleigh) and a couple of people who are sort of in the community. We all have instagram, I believe, would you like me to add you to a group chat there?
