Leaving the community

I have been offline for a while and I decided to just quit altogether. I have seen a lot of negativity here and I'd rather not be a part of this any longer. This community is so much more judgemental than it initially seemed and it bugs me and has been going trough my head so I'm going on a possibly permanent hiatus. Goodbye

Sorry that you haven't had the best experience with the community. :(I understand your decision, but you will be missed. I know that this can be a rocky experience for some people, but I wish you the best!

I can understand this too. Even though there are some lovely people on here, the community as a whole doesn’t generally come across as the most warm and welcoming, so I completely get where you’re coming from.

Try not to be too disheartened, though. Mernetwork doesn’t represent the entire mermaid community. Maybe check to see if you have any local pods with Facebook groups. (I’m in the uk, and I love how active and friendly our pod group is!)

I hope you’re still going to keep mermaiding!
