So, I have been looking at options for the mahina monofin, and yesterday had a thought.

Would it be possible to paint directly ON the monofin itself? I hear most paints just peel right off, but I was wondering if there was paint that would work both on rubber and in the water.

I've seen Mahinas painted before but I have no idea how it was done. Since the monofin is rubber, you might have to find a paint that'll stick to rubber or maybe find a primer that'll make the paint stick. I've only seen simple paint jobs on them so I'd image it has to be retouched often.

I used the Spray Flex Paint. I hung it on a guitar stand and layered it carefully. I have a few more layers to go. I used it a lot last summer, driving with it in a hot car through the Southwest from San Diego to CO and back. Used in salt water and chlorine pools. Only slight chipping around edges. I wanted a black Merfin, but, the green was most affordable off Amazon. So, happy with the result. Getting ready to touch up now for the coming swim season. Too cold in ocean now. Also hoping to take to Hawaii this summer. Just have to figure out how to travel with it... checked baggage or flat in the overhead? Hmmm
