Wish I would have seen this earlier! I was a dry land mer at a Larp event in Hitchcock all day.

I haven't lived here too terribly long. Does either the fitness or lap pool allow monofins? Or am I stuck looking somewhere else?

I have no idea. I can go ask, but I was just there for the scuba lessons because I was in the class. I know the Williams indoor pool in the clear lake area has no issues with mermaid tails since I’ve been going there for four years.

Ah. No worries then. Since it's literally just down the street from me, once I'm over this stomach bug I'll pop on over and ask.

If it doesn't work out, it looks like I'll be driving to clear lake. I was looking at a gym over there but Williams is significantly cheaper lol

Yup! I would definitely suggest goggles for Williams pool
It’s extremely chlorinated.

What color? We can swim in mahinas together, then! I need more practice in mine before I get my finfolk fabric tail (that should hopefully last as long as my current tail has.)

Ahhhhhh! It came in!! My feet must be bigger than I thought, or these foot pockets just suck cause it's a really tight fit.

I finally got my tail last week.

It’s so bright. The material doesn’t feel like my other neoprene tail, it feels very plastic-y, and not very flexible.
It’s really pretty though.

:((( sorry, this is my first time being online in daayyyysss. The roommate forgot to pay the internet bill so I have to head a few blocks over to the library to check all of my notifications :(

On the plus side, there's talk of using part of the coming tax refund to get me a membership to Lowry so that I can swim whenever I want!
