Tail inspiration and Design.

First let me show you the fish.

This little guy is a freshwater fish and I love the colors !

And here's what I came up with for the tail design.

What do you guys think of this tail. I think I love this one more than the one I did a while ago.

This tail is a hybrid tail with some special techniques I'm going to try to make look closer to realistic scales.

Soon I'll post how the scales will look and what I'm going to use to make it look like scales!

Stay tuned on this tread so eventually I'll get started making it.

Thank you very much, it's going to be a long while until I begin making it. Fins crossed hopefully it comes out nice. Just wait until I get a scale sample ! The technique will make it look close to realistic scales!

Yes and I self taught myself the dolphin kick and been doing so without & with fins for 14 years

That's awesome that your first tail you swim in will be the one you make. I look forward to seeing it finished. Mine are just fabric tails I didn't make. And I'm so jealous lol I'm trying to learn the dolphin kick and having trouble getting the motions down.

Best thing to say is let your body flow like water and become one with it don't force your self and move your body like a wave.

stroke when I take this advice.

It going to make the colors pop from the painted neoprene and make it look realistic in my opinion!

To show what the scales might look like, is this picture from a YouTube video after a day I came up with the scale plan. It only stiffens straight when it's not moving but is still very flexible in movement!
