So, I've made an ALEX tail before and it turned out great (there's a thread with it somewhere around here) and now I'm making one for a friend. Got everything together and ready for scales but...something is up with the swatches I'm doing. I can't get it to work AT ALL. The ALEX just pulls up with the grate when I lift it up and still manages to smoosh some not-so-cure parts aorund. Any idea what the problem could be? It's so weird because I had no problem with it previously.

Could it be because it's cloudy out?
Could it be because I'm using the same grate as last time and it has dried ALEX on it?
Does ALEX expire???

Maybe a humidity issue?

The dried ALEX may be a problem, your grate should be clean.
You could also use something on the grate that will not adhere to the ALEX.

I tried to prevent neutral curing silicone bonding to a mold with margarine. It went really well.
