So, even with taking care of fin fun tails for years and being crazy CRAZY careful, it does end up getting holes after awhile.

My friend gave her tail away after getting holes at the bottom, so I took it. My tail after 2-3 years also has holes ^^;
I decided to play around with them, and found a way to get the holes not to look as bad, and how to make it look a bit neater? XD

I went to the tail with my sewing machine and used temporary fabric glue that comes off to hold it in place. I basically pulled the skin a bit up on the monofin and folded it, then sewed through. It kinda gave it a magic tail look. I then sewed straight through to make sure it looked fine

I thought it still looked a bit weird. Underwater, it looked better since you would get too close to see it.

I played around with the little bits and had to adjust them, but I managed to get them to look much better,

So while it may not look as nice, it looks much more realistic then holes at the bottom xD

Buuutt yeah. If you don’t wanna throw it away and still wanna use it, then you can just try this I guess..??

Thanks for this! I just discovered holes in my Eco tail, I'll have to try your method.

This sounds like a good idea

@Seaspray Mermaid just remember to try it with something that comes off like fabric glue before you sew it! Don’t want to get the seam ripper and make more holes xD

It does look a bit odd when close up, but looks nice underwater owo
