Irene la Sirene

Good morning!
Just thought I'd introduce myself as requested in my welcome email ;)
My name is Irene and I am a complete mernewbie from Montreal, Canada.
But I am not new to aquatics, I am an active scuba instructor, certified freediver, lifeguard and first aid instructor, ex synchronized swimmer & coach, and taught gazillion swimming & lifesaving courses.
I am not looking to model, going pro, or to start a business, just to have fun (I already have a full time job and teach scuba as a second job) . I'd love to try and incorporate synchro & mermaiding, try tricks and maybe come up with new ones if it even is possible?!
I saw a local school advertise that their mermaid classes include synchro moves and from what I can tell its complete BS (she took an intro to synchro with a coach friend of mine and quit after 2 classes).
I started synchronized swimming as a kid because I was playing pretend mermaid in the local pool and the synchro coach spotted me and encouraged me to join, as I had never heard of synchro before. So I wanted to be a mermaid in the early eighties and still are, and very excited to learn that mermaids do exist!
Anyhoo, like I said, I'm a newbie who is looking forward to learn from you all to become a mermaid, and have fun (even if I feel old, fat, and out of shape :$ ).
Thanks for reading!
