Maybe add some pool games?
"Diving for treasure" is a favorite when I do parties.
It looks good! =)

Seaweed and Coral as Marco Polo. Red Fish Green Fish as red light green light. Mermaid fetch. Maybe some small craft they can take home or a goodie bag you can slip your cards into. Do a "Mermaid Training" bit where you ask children to blow bubbles, make waves, bob, do handstands etc, I like to have explanations as to why they are important mermaid skills--I use this as a tool to know which guppy to keep an eye on in the water for swimming strength. Maybe some kind of scavenger hunt?

Thanks Ladies! This gives me an idea,
Maybe I should make a blog post about mermaid games you can play at parties... Might be fun to see what else is out there!

What do you think?

I have to agree with Slim, a blog post around games would be neat.

Get some thrift or dollar store beads, and have the kids make bracelets/necklaces. Then they have something to take home, that they'll remember for years to come.

Great Idea! The dollar store comes in so handy sometimes!

Ever hear of pearl parties? People get a sealed oyster with a colored pearl inside of it, and they can pick a necklace or something to put the pearl in. You can actually do this really cheaply by getting the oysters and jewelry on Amazon. This would be fun for kids and adults.

There are a lot of cool crafts you can use with small toy sea animals. (and toy mermaids, toy shells, stuff like that) Put an eyescrew in one and you can turn it into a keychain, necklace, phone charm, earrings, bracelet charm, etc. You can put them inside of soap or homemade bath bombs. The soap is easy, craft stores sell plain, unscented soap that you can melt in the microwave and pour into molds (speaking of which, you can find molds shaped like seashells and sea animals) and add scents and dye. Bath bombs aren't too much more complicated, you can find recipes online. You can even add bath glitter to these things. And toy sea creatures on their own can be nice party favors. Personally I'm a fan of Safari Toob toys (which they also sell in bulk bags) and Safari Good Luck Minis, but there are cheaper sets that you can buy.

Mermaid Jaffa mentioned making jewelry. I've seen shell/marine themed jewelry making kits at craft stores, along with sets of marine themed metal charms.

That sounds so cool! Wait are they real pearls then? I’ve seen YouTube channels where people get cultured pearls or whatever the coloured farm ones are called, but they’re a little expensive to get lots of them. Still if there’s a cheaper alternative or if people are willing to pay enough, that could be great :D

I believe they're low quality cultured freshwater pearls. Real pearls, but nothing super fancy. On Amazon you can get sets of ten for about ten or fifteen bucks. The sets of pearl/bead cage pendants are about the same price. A lot of the ones you see on YouTube videos are more expensive because they come from multi-level marketing companies, the quality is rarely better than what you'd get on Amazon or AliExpress. I heard about them and was thinking that they'd be a cool activity for a sea or mermaid themed party, ha ha.

This is a great idea! I could do FB live and see what if we got any pearls!

Thanks!
