I been here for a few days and I never really introduced myself. My mermaid name is Avalon.
I loved swimming ever since I was little. I would always wanna go swimming. When I was young, during swim class, I would lay on the bottom of the kid's pool and look up at my swim teacher and I would smile at her. Of course she'd freak out cuz we can't breathe underwater. My mom assured her I was fine. Ever since I found out about mermaids, I loved mermaids. I always wanted to be one. When I was in middle school, my mom and I got pink fabric from Joanns and made me a mermaid tail. We used some kind of foam for a monofin. I loved it. After a few years, I discovered FinFun Mermaid tails. And since then, I wanted one of their tails. So for my birthday of 2016, I got my first real fabric tail with monofin from Fin Fun Mermaid for an early birthday present. Then last year, I bought another tail but no monofin from the same company with my own money. My mom ordered it and I gave her the money.
I am currently saving up for a mernation silicone mermaid tail even though I tend to buy random stuff with it while saving up lol but I'll get there eventually.
I like to write my own books, I currently am writing two-three different mermaid books, I love to go camping, I love reading, I'm kinda random.
I am adopted and I have learning disabilities and auditory processing disorder, and im very soft spoken and quiet. I have speech problems (ive had speech all my life and speech therapy).
And with my mermaiding someday, I hope to help make kids and others, not just kids, feel better and make the world a brighter place. I hope to make some more mermaid friends. Sorry if this isnt allowed..
