Hiya folks!
I've been lurking in the forums for weeks without actually posting/commenting on here yet, and thought it was high time I did. Like most on here, I was one of those little girls that didn't want to leave the pool/lake when it was time to go. That morphed into scuba diving when I was fourteen, but honestly I don't do it enough to satisfy the itch of being a part of the water. Not to mention that I'm in landlocked Oklahoma where visibility in most of the lakes nearby is akin to diving in mud puddles.
I'm seriously interested about becoming a professional mermaid. I became curious when I saw a story about the Wiki Wachi mermaids holding auditions in Florida, and all i could think about was "holy crap! I can be a mermaid as an adult?!". Then the idea morphed into being a freelance mer where I could do different events, and my own character instead of someone else's scripted show. (although they look incredible)
I can't wait to scrape enough to get my first monofin to start training in!

Hiya! Welcome to the Network!

I loved scuba diving as well at that age! Sadly it's been a number of years since I last did a dive :C

aw, that's sad! I know the feeling. The last dive I did was for a college trip to the Blue Hole in Santa Rosa, NM back in....2011 I think. I've dove in the lakes around here and then in Cozumel when I was in HS... god it feels like an eternity ago!
Where have you dived?

Welcome from Singapore, Bria! I know the feeling of going into the water and never wanting to leave -- though I had to wait a bit longer to get my diving certs. All the best in your journey as a mermaid, and I hope you find MerNetwork helpful. See you around!
