Hey! Don’t worry, I’m really awkward too, in real life at least. I’m still pretty awkward on the internet (I infodump waaay too much, for example) but the difference is that on the internet I’m completely unashamed of my awkwardness, hahaha.
I actually don’t really where my mersona is from; I’ve lived in Maryland all my life but I’m not too interested in the Chesapeake as my homeland—er, homewaters? What I’m getting at is that I agree with Kairi. Your mersona doesn’t have to be a reflection of your human life; they can be a reflection of your personality. Like, if you work as an accountant in real life but your true passion is helping animals, your mersona’s job can be some sort of sea creature veterinarian. At least, that’s how I look at it.
