i made a new post becasue i want to make sure the photos are easy to find and i got a story for the whole thing.
so i woke up this day to the wrost possible thing for me: RAIN.it was freezing and pouring alot and on this day.
2093
i got there to set up,but since it was raining, i brought back up stuff(last minute things. i gotta finish my prop stuff real bad!) to put inside.im so prepared! =)
2094
as soon as i settled, an artist wanted to draw me.i forgot what you call these:
2096
the opening ceremony was a hopi water blessing.i was blessed with the sacred tribal waters of the hopi tribe! i feel so honored.this is the gourd they used for it
2095the hopi tribeal cunselor or cheif im not sure. have me a piece of yarn and said im one of the water people.that i will grow strong by learning from mistakes and when we all work together we will save the earth.
then the bands were playing and the event took off. every parent pointed me out to their kids. some were shy, some were excited, some were confused(lol), and some visit me at every event i go to. i saw 2 girls i know from past events. one talks alot to me. so cute. i must learn her name!
one kid said to his dad "its e fishy!" and kept pointing.friggin cute!! one parent said to his daughter"its a mermaid" and the girl said "mermau?" cuuute!!!
i had people ask me what i do exactly, where is the water,a polititian tried to get me to vote for him.the way he held onto my hand was so wrong.like he was flirting.no vote for him!

one of the band members was from Haiti and sang la sirčne to me (i see la siren, i feel la siren)and told me that the mermaid is an important part of their tradition. it was beautiful! and i spoke a little french with him before he went on. so sweet!
a few of my friends came to support me and one came thats from my play(our prop specialist) she got me food.so nice!!
i changed out of my tail only once in 7 hours and for only about 10 minutes, but my legs were ok.thank goodness.
ill post more later.a few photographers are supposed to send their pics to me. so busy!i got one more public event this weekend. then a few private things as well as my play. ill get more up real soon i promise!
