Hello!

As a uni student I'm struggling to find a place to work with silicone, can I let it cure in my bedroom on campus?
I'm trying to make scales out of thermoplastic and then make a silicone mold off which I can make more silicone scales for a top.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

As far as I understood, silicon needs lots of ventilation. So I don't think it's wise to create it in your bedroom, unless you are going to sleep somewhere else

Lol silicone doesn’t need ventilation people doo. U should be fine just have some fans at door or window to ventilate the space.

If it's platinum dragonskin you'll be fine. If it's lower grade, you absolutely will need an open ventilated area to keep the fumes from hurting you.

Silicones (depend on brand) can be fumerier than others so a window or fan will be sufficient. I have cured silicone in my room before with no worries and that silicone brand my mold Max 27T by smooth on. very little odour if i remember correctly.
