Today I threw a baby shower for my best friend, then I went and photographed a SURPRISE (for the guests) wedding! Happy day had by all.

Oooh great idea.... lets see.... my birthday is coming up soon and me and friend are going to go to disneyland (wooo disneyland!!!!) My little cousins came over last night (age 2 and 4) They are both boys...... eh maybe that wasn't such a good thing. Now our house is a mess and we have crayon markings on the walls. But at least they are cute!

My hubby (ok not yet but we've been together so long It comes naturally damn it) and I finally settled on a date for our wedding yesterday! ^.^

I finished the yardwork!

It's not so big of a thing, but it means I can now do more fun things, like browse mernetwork and fantasize about the tail I'd make with infinite money and resources. Oh, if only...

Finishing yard work from my perspective is huge! So much more free times afterwards :P

I managed to get my boo into college, he passed all his classes with flying colors and is now on the look out for a job :D He is also trying to quite smoking and work on losing weight and getting healthy again + we just went back out to a LARP I haven't been to for a very long time due to some drama and had the most wonderful weekend.

Only 2 more quarters and I'll be able to move in with this wonderful, wonderful man.

I just got from Ft Myers Beach, which I haven't been to in over 10 years. The beach was wonderful, and I walked forever every day (I would DEFINITELY get back in shape doing that). I found some nice shell pieces, and would have even gotten myself a weekly, consistant gig at the Resort I stayed at as a mermaid. Considering a move, perhaps....

There are a lot of factors to consider, though.

That is wonderful! Make a list of good bad and unknowns compare and contrast and then go with your heart, that's what I've always done and I've never regretted a decision done that way :)

I've lost 33 pounds since August 2010 and I feel great!

My Mum (my tailmaker) and I found some awesome sparkly fabric at Joann's and bought enough for 3 tails, though I think we're just going to make 2...a blue and a red one.

I'm in Arizona right now and the weather is great and yesterday I got some hiking shoes for camping that are normally $60 and I paid $20.

We're going on a hot air balloon ride tomorrow morning and Thursday we're going out to an artist town; Dad just suggested we go for a hike in the local mountain (so I can wear my new shoes!)

Also, it is so great to hear good news from everyone else, especially things like good grades, wedding dates, turkey and drama-free LARP weekends :)

I am one happy mer girl :)

Im so happy right now i could cry, it took me 6 long months to get a tail concept out of my mind and on to paper, i got it right down to the spines and the correct color and fluke shape, texture etc.. 6 loonnnggg months.. im so glad i got it done. I finally have enough money to get the tail made so .. lets pray i get it up and running soon.

I have a few but I guess the big things are I went to the hunger games premiere (SQUEEE!!!), I have 4 parts in our upcoming ballet production (one in every scene but one, the most of any other in my company :D :D), and I think I'm finally gonna go with my dream and apply for a talent/modeling agency after 4 years of regret

Hmm... I took my written scuba test today and did awesome. Just one more pool session and the two open water dives to go.
Went to buy a notepad from a bookstore and got stopped by the cashier who told me I was extremely pretty. :3 Made my day.
Now I'm watching the Simpson's and the Twilight Zone with a good friend.

I just recently won second place at the Student Television Network competition! I was second place in Weather Reporting. It was truly a great honor to take home a win for my school AND it was my first time weather reporting. I really found my talent in Communications! I also just got accepted into my first college. UWF! I was in such a rut with not getting in anywhere, but finally someone has taken me in! And I'm working all of my spring break, so I'll have enough money for my tail at the end of the week. And I'm seeing the Hunger Games tomorrow. Not a shabby week, hm? :)

I am now a short-haired mermaid! Went from mid-back length hair to above the shoulders. My head feels so much lighter!

Good news for our family! my husband who suffers from Stargardt's disease just got a call back from a research center in Cali who wants us to come out for a consultaion so see if he can participate in the testing to reverse cure it. Stargardt's is an inherited juvenile macular degeneration that causes progressive vision loss usually to the point of legal blindness for those of you who don't know.

Yay for LARPers! (Just recently joined a LARP)

My good news would be that my grades are fantastic, which means I will be able to go to a cosplay convention in may, I'm super excited!
I have been on an overly artistic mood, as well as mermaid crazed, so all my art projects have some aquatic animal or mermaidness going on.
I recently got my monofin, and my mom and I are making plans to buy some neoprene and get my tail started!
And last but not least, I had ice cream today.
I absolutely love ice cream, so it made my day!

Our family grew from 4 to 26.

We have a pond in our front yard with a flowing "river" and a mermaid statue that I turned into a fountain.

Last week we added 2 Butterfly Koi, 2 Shubunkin gold fish, and 22 feeder comet gold fish (carnival fish). We saved 22 feeder comets from being lunch!

So now it is 2 kitties, 26 fish, Mertender Dennis, and myself. Oy vey!

A guy at my work bought me a shake, my husband and I's dress-up stuff came today (after several months of waiting), I started on a new tail today,
and three or more kids at the pool last night thought I was a real mermaid!

I'm officially on easter break from school and my mom is on her way to pick me up, so I'll be back home in a few hours!

-I'm graduating high school in June
-I just got officially hired to work on the Vista Fleet, a local cruise boat business
-My carriage driving job starts soon, we've already started practicing for the season
-My parents got behind my mermaid tail making business and are fronting me enough money to make tails to sell until I can supply myself
-My best friend decided he wants to move back to Duluth and live independantly from his family

Basically everything I ever wanted to do as a child is coming true, I'm almost finished with school [thank god] I drive horses, work on boats, am going to be making mermaid tails, and getting an apartment with my favorite person in the whole world!

The fabric for my friend's tail came in the mail today.
I cut out and have sewn the tail.
I have made a form out of cardboard to paint this tail on
The only thing that I now need to do is paint the darn thing!

It's super cool and I am very excited. Strep throat has always landed me in the hospital in the past (I get it once a year, usually, and for some reason, I am just very vulnerable to it. Generally in less than 24 hours from the onset of symptoms, my throat nearly closes and a steroid is used to keep my throat from closing, and a Z pack is the only antibiotic that has worked in treating it). I recently had an onset, and with ONLY wheatgrass shots, zinc, vitamin C, Kombucha, Salmon, seaweed salad, and dark berries, I BEAT it!!!! :D No doctor, no medicine. 100% better. Weeeeee ^_^

Also, I joined a gym and am in a 100% motivated state to get back in my previous shape. Doing all kinds of training daily, including breath hold. Should be very good. <3 My mermaid brochures, business cards, banner, and other things like that also came in today - pretty exciting package :) Also, almost finished with my new tail design for Merman Jesse to create ^_^ Looking forward to joining the silicone tail club! <3

My good news for the day is that my mermaid tail came in the post today that was made by Mermaid Parties! I'm so excited I can hardly believe I actually now have a mermaid tail :) And as well Mermaid Parties did an excellent job!

I got my waterproof business card samples yesterday and my friends were all impressed. I like the frosted ones because underwater they look completely clear, but as they dry off they go back to frosted. :)

So much good news! It makes me so happy!
I went swimming with teh boyfriend today and while standing in the water I noticed a little fishy by my foot. I stood really still for ten some minutes and I got a whole pod of fish! The little one who first came by even let me touch him, and when I moved away he followed me and his fishie friends followed him. It was so cool!

It's so nice to get to read about all these great things happening to everyone in the community!! My most recent good news, I got engaged <3!!! Also, my fiance bought me a new airbrush and compressor set-up so I can finish my tails, as well as a new laptop! :) Have had so much bad luck this year, these things are really countering all the negative! And as an added bonus, I bought a Finis SwimP3 player and have been thuroughly enjoying it, has helped immensley with my lack of grace underwater! This morning I felt like an aqua-ballerina!!!! <3
