Hello! I’m a new mermaid

Hi everyone. I live in Southern California, and I have been interested in mermaiding ever since I heard an interview with Mermaid Melissa a few years ago. I never even knew this was a thing, but the moment I started searching around YouTube for videos of mermaids I was hooked. My mersonna’s name is Seairah. I created her because I love the ocean (duh), but I also find myself at home in the Sierra Nevada’s and other mountainous areas near me. I have a full story about her, but that’s for another time. Anyway, I have only swum with my tail at home in my tiny pool, and in my first mermaiding class through Sheroes Entertainment. So I’m looking forward to local meet-ups in So Cal, and my first swim in open water! (Some day soon, I hope). I am also looking forward to the FinFolk tail release on May 19. My current tail has a small fluke, so it’s my little guppy tail. I’m ready to “grow” a bigger tail! Plus - how gorgeous are their designs? (No disrespect to other designers- remember I’m new to all of this and have a lot to discover!). BTW - my profile is all wrong except for my user name LOL. I’ll have to go back in and update it. Nice to meet you all!

Where about in SoCal are you? I often visit Burbank (our company has a client there) and I plan to be down there again fairly soon (no date set yet). I was playing with the idea of taking an extra day on for myself and find a nice place to swim. If you're at all around, maybe we could go for a swim!

I’m planning on going to Tails and Scales too! We should definitely plan on meeting up then. The rest of May is nuts for me.

I haven’t yet but I will soon. I also found out that a bunch of Mers are getting together for a swim at the Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool in Long Beach on 5/27 from 11:00 - 4:00. I’m planning on going too, so that’s another opportunity for us to meet.
