I had an idea for a hashtag campaign that's a play on words/acronyms of sorts referring to two of the most common items found in beach cleanups, plastic Bags(the B) and plastic straws(the S), as well as two of the easiest to avoid. The goal of the campaign would be to get as many people as possible on board with avoiding these two things and how important that is for the oceans, as opposed to an all-or-nothing approach that pushes for an extreme zero-waste lifestyle that certainly may not be practical for everybody. In order for this campaign to work, I'm gonna need the help and support of those mers and activists who have a lot more followers than me/moi/watashi(Looking at you, Raina!)
