How is everyone? My name is Griff, I recently dove into the world of mermaiding and it is (outside of all the precuations and training) looking to be real fun! I have been swimming ever since high school swim team (I try not to think of how long ago that was :sweat drop: ) and am an avid cosplayer and feel like having some mermaid tails for some conventions sounds like fun and a new challenge for me to tackle.
I really can't wait for my first tail to arrive and see how a monofin feels while swimming, I have used fins before and ankle straps (the dreaded butterfly stroke training :headwall:) and hopefully it's a great experience and find new people to chat with and have a good time while diving deeper in the coral reef of mermaids/mermen/merfolk :hug:
Taking a look around it seems the southern pod is a bit dead but hopefully can revive it and meet more SC,TN,GA,FL,AL swimmers as I am in middle GA myself. I will eventually make my way down to Florida and see the Mertailor aquarium while visiting friends in the Orlando area :D. It will be nice to meet everyone here and hope we can have a splashing good time!
