I'm going down to Hawai'i in December with my family and I was wondering what were some good places to swim. We'll be island hopping and I was hoping to also see some culturally significant sites as well and who better to ask than local mers?

Sent from my shell phone using MerNetwork mobile app (http://r.tapatalk.com/byo?rid=95032)

The Hawai'i trip is this monday. Does anyone know any safe places to go mermaiding? My folks are worried about sharks.

Welcome to the islands

you don't need to worry about sharks. Shark sitings are very very rare.

The best place right now is Electrics beach.

We had three very friendly turtles there today, and a lot of times in the morning dolphins will come and hang out.

I also do Freedive training, and fun dives! Feel free to check out my freediving company www.facebook.com/1breath.co (http://www.facebook.com/1breath.co)

Feel free to ask any questions! There is a lot to see on the islands

I just returned from Maui and Makena State Park was really nice for tailswimming - it was pretty rough and choppy on most of the island, but Makena is in a bit of protected cove. It's perfect!
