The time has come for me to part with my PurpleRainbowTails tail. You may remember the fiasco from 20(13/14) associated with this tail. It has had some surgery since then and works well, to the point it is now one of my favourite tails. Unfortunately I grew almost 5 inches up and several out and she no longer fits. Here are the general measurements for her, and some brutally honest photos. 43546435474354843549435524355343554

The mould spots are from this mail's time with one of my older guppies. The tail has been LOVED and been on a journey and I hope it finds a new loving home, stitches and all.

Here's the original post(the important parts):

I do mean knives and needles and sewing. Surgeries done:
Dorsal removal- there was a hole longer than a pencil where it met the tail.
Fluke water flow- there had previously been no drainage for water in an uncured fluke so it bubbled and collected stuff. The fluke was carefully split with a knife mm by mm, cleaned out and had holes drilled in the monofin which was sewn in and then the fluke was sewn shut.
.
.
The tail is now useable and, until close scrutiny is applied, looks like nothing is wrong at all. The following pictures are from one of the only things I did with it before problems arose. Pictures of the tail as current are available upon inquiry. 43485434864348743488

It doesn't look like it's full silicone. How much did you pay for it initially?

It doesn't look like it's full silicone. How much did you pay for it initially? This tail is 98% Dragonskin silicon. And probably about 2% acrylic/plastic lacing where it needed surgery when it tried to fall apart because it was made without drainage and never cured to the monofin. It DOES have a powermesh layer in the silicon for extra strength in the body. Is the interior picture what didn't look like silicon?

Do you have a video in the water by any chance?

Way too beat up with way too much need for repair for only $100~ off your initial purchase price approximately 5 years ago. 🙃
