New Nor-Cal Mermaid!

Hello!
My name is Charlotte and I live in Northern California/the Bay Area and I'm excited to become a mermaid! I've always been a fan of wings and faeries and magical creatures. I have been into cosplay (mostly Disney) for the past almost decade and have taken to dressing up as a faerie with friends in the California Redwoods. My faerie interest has led me to mermaids as well! I just ordered my first tail, a Finfolk fabric tail, and I'm working on putting together the rest of my mersona. I'm very excited to get out to the beach as the weather gets warmer and learn more about swimming in a tail. I have a lot to learn! I have the Mermaid Handbook (published by Fairy Magazine/Enchanted Living) and I'll also be absorbing all the resources here. If anyone has other resources they think are important, let me know! Also, if you are also in the Bay Area, I'd love to connect! I have another friend in the area who also just got a finfolk fabric tail and I look forward to meeting all of you and becoming a mermaid!

Welcome! I'm in San Jose, so we're neighbors. If you want to swim during the colder months, we have a few good indoor pools around that welcome tails as well! We have a Norcal Pod on Facebook as well that we're hoping to get some events rolling soon, so feel free to PM me if you'd like to join us!
