I seem to have a lot of options from the sublimation company so i need help on picking a specific fabric and weight. I don't know anything about scuba knit, can anyone chime* in? ^_^

I have a question about working with SCUBA fabrics:
How much stretch do you build in? I see that it is rated for 15% stretch. So, if you had a measurement of 20 inches, you could make a 17" item. But that seems extreme, pushing the fabric to its limit. What is a good stretch (or if you wish, negative ease) to build in?
When I made a tail with miliskin Spandex, I had to use 20% to 30% stretch.

I definitely couldnt tell you until i ask my grandma who is a seamstress, i tend to figure things out as i go. Hopefully a more experienced tailor can chime in!

Scuba knit has the same stretch as swimwear spandex.

Thicker spandex, scuba knits, and neoprin/neoprime/spacer should work great. Hit me up if you need help finding any of these.
