New mermaid!

Hi, I'm Demeter!

I decided to buy my first monofin just an hour ago and I already can't wait to receive it in the mail.
I wanted to buy a monofin first then buy a fabric tail after because I thought that was best.
I chose the name Demeter for my mermaid name since my real name is another version of the beautiful Greek Goddess and I adore Greek Mythology so, why not.
I'm hoping to make a lot of new friends on here too!

Demeter is SUCH a pretty name. Love it! And a lot of new mers seem to be getting monofins before tails. Honestly, it's a pretty smart way to go about it as you figure out whether or not this hobby is something you want to take up seriously! Happy swimming! Excited for you to get your fin! That's what I fear with fabric tails is that they'll wear out. On the other hand I really don't want to shell out 1,800 to 5,000 dollars for a silicone one either. Plus the silicone tails are really hard to get on from what I've seen in a lot of videos.. And thank you I will enjoy my first tail so much!

The tail I want to get is the yellow koi fish tail from mertailor and it's stressing me out that it's only available for a limited time so, I'm hoping I can get my hands on one soon!

Ooh! I wish you luck! Y'know if you're crafty at all that's a great way to make a little side money. Just some elastic and seashells can go a pretty long way on sites like etsy or zazzle! Lots of mers are looking for cute accessories and stuff that are fairly easy to design and create!
