My SEWING MACHINE is driving me NUTS! I am so ANGRY! The Dang thing won't even do a straight freaking stitch without jamming up or the thread breaking every 5 seconds! And now the friggin' bobbin-holder-thing on the bottom is all off-kilter and I could Just SCREAM!
:mad::mad:I'm working on my new tail idea and the DANG THING WON'T DO ZIPPERS FOR ME ANYMORE! What am I supposed to do with a sewing machine that doesn't work properly, huh?:mad::mad:

I used to want to tear my sewing machine up all the damn time. I think EVERY time I threaded something
it'd end up getting caught and I'd somehow end up with a huge knot of everything at the end of my needle.
After a while I got used to it and even learned how to make it do that less xD

What exactly is wrong with the bobbin holder? I didn't get what happened o_O

find a local sewing shop or a Joann fabrics that has a huscvarna dealer.. they can do a tune up on your machine. Sewing machines like cars need regular tune ups. frequent use can cause things to become mis-aligned in the workings...

As for the thread breaking... you might have you tension too tight.. check your settings.. also rethread the top thread back through.. sometimes it comes out of the chanel and can rub against something causeing thinning and then breakage..

Sewing machines scare me, I have one of those mini ones and it goes super fast without hardly touching it!! It frightens the hell outa me lol :rolleyes:

It's odd, because I grew up learning how to hand-stitch and I made entire outfits by hand. Finally, in high school I got a sewing machine, and granted, i did use it a couple of times, but honestly, I am just so use to sewing by hand, that's what I usually do. My whole tail is hand stitched :)

Less complicated I suppose?

I eventually hand stitched the zippers in, and my husband fixed my machine when he came home. He's sweet like that. I've checked the tension and everything, but that just screws up the stitches. :(
anyway, it's all better now, I just had my first (and hopefully only) hormonal angry pregnant moment.

YES! Exactly! I'm having the same thing, but it's only on straight stitches. zigzag stitches are fine.

Ack, horomones and sewing machines! You're not alone Dot! My sewing machine is really old, so while it's durable as heck it still likes to malfunction quite often. I get globs of thread as well, and everyone ducks for cover when I'm PMSing and the machine decides to troll me.
