Easiest way to ship a Mahina

I want to sell my Mahina soon (once my Mertailor order arrives in March, I'm guessing). Ideally someone local would buy it, but if not I have no experience shipping something this big. When I bought it from Urban Outfitters a few years ago, it came in the longest, most awkward box and was rolled up. I want the easiest, cheapest way possible. I figured I could reuse the box my Mertailor tail will come in, if it ends up being big enough. I'm in the US and intend to ship only in the US. (Overseas shipping always gives me a hard time.) I'm willing to use any carrier, since USPS sucks and can't deliver things on-time or safely. Any advice?

Honestly id call the post office and ask them :) I've had to skip out weird sized packages and the people are usually very helpful. Rough size estimates would help them as well :)
