Best thing to do is start calling places, but even then, people may not know or they tell you differently when you get there. Or you could take a different route and just show up, and see what they say.

ive tried the just showing up thing and they all tell me tails arent allowed ..... ~le sigh~
and yes it does seem like we are close by!! i live about.... 20 to 25 minutes from humble and about 15 from the woodlands

i do have a pool in my apartment complex that is open 24hrs but its out door and the last time i tried to swim in it (this morning) my feet and hands turned purple xD
im hoping that by next week it will start warming up so i dont have to continue searching and just walk down stairs and swim

Are you restricted to your town or can you go further? I have pools 30 to 45 minutes away that allow tails. It is worth the drive.

I just googled your location, and I'd probably just drive to Houston if there is a pool there.

Have you tried YMCA or 24 hour fitness?

I haven't looked into it for ymca.... But ive had bad experiences with them over the years ...plus it's not exactly cheap to go to a gym cause I'd have to get a membership

I’ve looked around for awhile. I’m pretty sure ymca doesn’t allow mermaid tails and I know that villa sport is not mermaid friendly. Even with just a mono fin.

It probably depends from location to location but my local LA Fitness allows monofins just as long as they don't take up more then one lane. It's not as fun as a deep pool to stretch your tail but just to zip back and forth across the pool is sometimes all I need.

I think ymca bans them nationwide but I have seen where some people get ymca to allow. Probably something to talk to your local Y about in person.
