View Full Version : Two W.A gatherings this long weekend.

I've heard secondhand (I'm not on Facebook) that there will be a couple of Perth merpod gatherings this weekend. One at Beatty Park Pool from 10:00am until whenever on Sunday the 3rd March, and one on Monday the 4th, down at the wreck of the Omeo on Monday the 4th of March from 10am.

Myself and merhusband Nyola might be along.

I think I'll be definitely be able to make the Beatty Park one. I don't think they allow silicone tails though, Water Phoenix. Do you have a fabric one?

I did have a fabric tail, but its no more. Darn Beatty park not allowing silicone tails. Probably its a stupid reason saying that they're too heavy to swim in, despite me swimming since I was 9 years old.

What's your monofin, might fit one of our spare the2tails or Suntail skins if you'd like to borrow one.

I do have a leaderfins sport monofin, but the thing is GIANT :)

I just looked it up. It's gigantanormous! :O_o: It must be very cool to swim in.
If you're keen I could bring both my monofins and you could borrow my the2tails one - they're pretty much one size fits all. But it will probably feel completely lame, er, I mean um different, at your level of skill and with the monofins and skins you're used to.

Marie from the Facebook group chat has offered to lend me one of her tails! I'm thinking of making a tail to fit my leaderfins :)

Thanks for the piccs! It was so great seeing everyone again! I won't be able to make the Omeo dive course meetup as my mom's birthday is on the same day!

Happy birthday to your Mum! Maybe another time for the Omeo! Some of the people were talking about a Wadjemup (Rottnest) trip in December. We'd certainly be in that!
