Tripods

So I have two underwater water cameras. They are really cheap and they float...

Does anyone know of a heavy tripod or other tricks that I can use to make them sink and/or stand up on the steps?

I have been trying to look around and I am not quite sure what to search for.

Have you seen the tripod you can get with the suckers on. You can get them on ebay

You can add diving weights (0.5kg should be enough to make a small camera sink). How to mount it depends on your camera and the type of the weight (soft/hard).
