I'm old enough to be your gramma. Grew up in PA Dutch farm country with horses. Inspired by Flipper, Sea Hunt and Jacques Cousteau learned to snorkel, then scuba dive. Always hated swimming on the surface. Artist/writer/random photographer, kayaker, trainer of several wild mustangs, some wilder sled dogs (yes, in Pa, mostly we use wheels). Have driven in a van with a barfing vulture and amazed small children with the pooping exploits of Thermal the Wonder Hawk (wildlife rehab volunteer for some years). Take every chance I get to explain that horseshoe crabs aren't scary but AWESOME! (you know you owe your life to a crab? If you've had any medical procedure, they've used that blue blood to detect bacteria...). Love the Chesapeake Bay. My cruise ships must have sails and cannons...
