What is a good beginners tail? As a new mermaid I'm just wondering and want to pick out the right one is all. I know about finfun and others but if you have any other suggestions I'm all ears

Finfun or Suntail. Suntail's monofin is faster. Finfun if you want more design variety.

I want to have a flowy fluke like a beta fish will the monofins form suntail be the right fit so the fin isn't sticking out?

What do you mean by sticking out? Are you referring to the open bottom? Both have that to get the monofin in. If you aren't used to a tail I would forego the extra flowy fins til you're used to a standard tail.
