Hey, everybody!! My name is Jayson and while I am new to the mermaid community, I've always had a passion and a love for all things mer-related. For most of my life I would get in the pool or even the bathtub and do my best to mimic swimming like a merperson. I've had this crazy desire to be a merperson, so much so that it would depress me that I wasn't. And now I'm here and I'm dedicated to finally seeing that out. I have not bought my first tail yet, but I've done a lot of research and as soon as I am able, I plan on getting my first ever fabric tail (since a lot of you have strongly recommended starting off that way instead of with a silicone one). I'm very eager and excited for when that time comes.

I am also transgender. I began hormone replacement therapy a little over a month ago, so once I get my top surgery, I'm going to be so VERY stoked to be able to pose as the merman I'm truly meant to be.

I look forward to talking with all of you and reading all your stories. If there are any of you out my way too, I'd love to know of any nearby cons or communities where I can fully embrace my merness with others!!
