I have a Madame Alexander doll from 1965 (I think she is a Puddin version), that I want a tail for...does anyone know a person on etsy or wherever that can make one for this sort of doll? All I see is American Girl stuff.

I just found a Madame Alexander doll at a thrift shop. She's American Girl scale and fits in any of that scale doll clothes, so imagine the AG doll tails would fit.
I don't really sew, but I feel making a tail for a doll like that would be fairly easy. You could hand stitch, use hot glue, and leftover fabric (or smaller pieces from a craft store). Tule is fabulous to work with too.
I used knit socks and craft foam and felt for a few smaller dolls.
Try a youtube on making your own?

This was a doll of about 12" height, found at a thrift shop (the Our Generation horse too). That's a sock and some craft foam (sheets, sort of like felt) and paint and some beads, and sheer ribbon and tule.
And photoshopped into a beach scene I shot earlier.
I think you could do a great tail yourself.

I don't think the American doll stuff will work. My doll has a wide chest and her legs are bent at the knee...a custom maker would be good. I'm not making my own, that isn't what I want.

Ah well, good luck! I imagine there would be some experienced tailmakers out there who would be able to do a great one!
