I saw a new monofin on youtube... Don't the name of it yet, the poster has not replied...
I tried aliexpress, alibaba and google. I cannot find any other trace of it online.

it's pretty, definitely not self-made by the level of detail. Looks quite floppy though, not much propulsion, so more for looks and show than swimming.

Only similarity that I see, is that it is molded in the same way as a Mahina. It looks like it came from the same manufacturer as the Mahina.

I do like it too, it's very pretty and would look better in most of my routines than a stiffer fin.

Would have to find a way to disguise that footpocket though- if it's available anywhere, that is.

About the floppiness and propulsion: I have a spellbound, and it has a rather floppy tail. I thought the propulsion would be poor. But it's not! Its better than a Mahina, better than a FinFun, even better than my modified FinFun (stiffer, angled). So, don't judge until you have tried it.

You can tell that she is quite slow, and from the way she is moving it very much looks like she is getting no push from the fin.

The girl in the video, is just learning how to dolphin kick. In her other swimming videos, she quite slow too.

@Storm, no. The new monofins are designed by a guy in China. The maker of the monofin does not want to be on Mernetwork due to some other people calling it a "bootleg Mahina". Can you imagine the number of drama queens that will come out of the woodwork to rain death and despair?

It does not look like a Mahina in any shape or form. The only exception is, how the fin is cast. It has the same type of ridge on the back like the Mahina merfins. I guess maybe they are made in the same factory, but that's just a guess.

With Jaffa's help, I found the fin. Due to the issues mentioned above, I'll not post the link. But:
It's definitely not just a copy of the Mahina. Its a different shape. For example, the Mahina tip sweeps out to the sides, while this fin has the tip extending to the rear. Also, the foot pockets look like they are better shaped.

It comes in four colors: the pink seen in the OP video, black, orange, and translucent white.
It comes in three sizes, listed as 32-37, 38-42, 43-46.

I really love the white one.

They mentioned that the bad chafing western fins produce is not present in their product.
(personally, I still don't understand how some fins, especially the Mahina, can possibly be that horrible to wear. It's more a torture instrument than a fin^^)

sadly, you can only order/register if you have a mobile phone.
by the rate this is going, soon one won't be allowed to breathe without having one...

Yeah, I'm also interested in knowing more about the fin! I LOVE the Mahina's push but hate the footpockets and really like the style/shape/push of this fin too. It doesn't look like a bootleg Mahina at all, only looks similar in the ridges and material.

Quit with the bootleg name calling already! It is nothing like the Fantasea in shape or form. This guy has been making his fins long before Mertailor started his.

I saw that one too, I'm only afraid it will break over the center line of the fin, unless they rounded and reinforced it there, which is kinda hard to see on the photo's. I like the original look of the fin though
