So I'm trying to think of a creative mermaid name for myself, but without using my first name. Any ideas of how to think of ideas? I have blonde hair and blue eyes if that helps. I'm getting a tail in the near future, but unsure of what colour to get.
Thanks in advance!:thumbs-up:

Mine just was kind of there cos I have loads of tattoos and still going lol. Do you have any die hard hobbies, or favorate type of music, nicknames etc. Tou cant go wrong with pastel colours with you being blond hair and blue eyes. I'm blonde hair green eyes and find I'm liking punks and purples. That being said I do like greens and blues etc.

I've always kind of loved that- I always think of candy when I see your name.
I never chose a 'Mermaid Thisorthat" name, but it just isn't my thing. A few years ago I noticed a Mermaid Deepblue popped up in the UK, but I have zero problem with that. She's a pro and I'm not, so really who needs the usage? I don't. There could be other Mermaid Deepblues out there, too.
So unique names are ideal but not always easy to come up with. If you're going to be pro, you don't want a name that another, already established professional mer is using. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and here on this forum are good places for such a search.

I literally just came up with my mersona name last night and what I’ve been doing for a couple months is being on the look out for names that I liked the sound of and/or meaning, so I looked at Greek names as that’s one of my heritages, I also looked at Hawaiian/Polynesian names as those usually sound exotic and pretty. It also helps to look at mythology, I ended up finding the name Alcyone from a Greek myth and reworked it to create Alcione. So yea just consult the google gods and get creative [emoji854]

To get a unique name I personally like to take two names that I like and somehow mix them together like ummm.... Dara + Malaika = Dalaika or Camael + Salacia = Camacia or slightly change something about the name like Finn to Finan or so
Also I always have a long list of names (just in case I might need one real quick, it's hard to find fitting names)
