Almost nude top designs?

Hi everyone! I was just wondering if anyone had any experience or ideas for making tops that are almost naked? I don't think my photographer would be up for me jumping in with only some pasties or something! I'm not a fan of the shell or starfish bras and definitely want something that bares a bit more but I'm not really sure where to start.

Could you use some kind of mesh to hold an item to your body? Like a mesh bra so that it looks invisible?

That's what I was thinking but I'm not sure what item. I'll have to give it a think, but I did work up the courage to ask my photographer if he'd be cool with me just wearing pasties so I'll get the kind of photos I want without the hassle of a top lol
